Breaking Borders Breaks Journalistic Ground For Dining Diplomacy

Breaking Borders will soon air on The Travel Channel. The premise is intriguing, using a chef-prepared dinner to bring together would-be ideological opponents who are deeply impacted by a cultural divide. The show visits Bethlehem, Belfast, Cairo, Cambodia, Cuba, Sarajevo and the Arizona-Mexican border. Chef Michael Voltaggio prepares a gourmet feast using local ingredients and flavors. Breaking bread provides the perfect backdrop for a discussion on sensitive issues, and to bring the world a true understanding of the stories and issues devoid of politics, journalism and other outside forces. I’ll be tuning in to this fresh new approach to reality TV. Join me?
