What to do If a Liquor License Applicant Doesn’t Have E-mail

The New York State Liquor Authority now requires an e-mail address for all applicants. Although rare these days, some liquor license applicants don’t use e-mail (or computers for that matter).  We asked the Licensing Unit how that situation should be handled when preparing and filing an application.

We proposed three possible solutions:

  1. leave blank or write “n/a”
  2. create an e-mail account for the client
  3. use the attorney’s e-mail

Licensing Unit 8 instructed us that the best approach was to use the attorney’s e-mail for the client’s e-mail address.
